EMKOO is the latest GAC MOTOR model to join the company’s high-quality product matrix in Chile. On August 28, the automobile manufacturer held a high-profile launch to announce the arrival of the award-winning EMKOO in Santiago’s Vitacura district.
Attended by 100 automotive industry representatives including top management from GAC MOTOR and distributor ASTARA the event doubled as a teaser for the upcoming EMZOOM, a trendy and intelligent SUV to be launched in September. In a creative nod to its innovation-packed configurations, the launch displayed several EMKOO-inspired installations ranging from 3D visualizations to interactive digital experiences, offering guests an immersive demonstration of GAC MOTOR's latest technological advance.
The futuristic 5-seater, designed with finesse and upgraded tech, is expected to be a standout in the compact SUV segment. Positioned as a “Technology Pioneering SUV”, its array of innovative features includes wireless phone charging, advanced driver assistance systems, and a 10.1-inch smart infotainment touchscreen display. As a recipient of China Automotive Technology Research Center’s “Best Bodywork” and “Best Workmanship” awards, EMKOO adopts a unique design that appeals to drivers with an appreciation of modern aesthetics. Featuring a sharp profile enabled by aerodynamic lines and lightsaber-shaped taillights, the model captures a futuristic style that carries over to its spacious interiors through ergonomic seats, a sizeable digital dashboard, and LED ambient lighting. Other specs include a 1.5L turbo engine and GMC2.0 integrated dual-motor multi-gear DHT, which help deliver 177hp and 270 Nm of torque.
